keep it to yourself.

oh you
experienced, know it all
perfect
mothers out there.
why do you question my parenting skills?
don't you know I've been a mother for about,
oh...

13 whole months.
I'm doing the best I can.
My baby is happy and healthy.
She's smart and funny.
She loves to smile and play and laugh.
So what if I let her watch Baby Einstein
while I do homework.

It's not something I do, so I can ignore her
& chat on the phone with my girlfriends.
Sometimes I need her to be entertained so I can write my papers,
do my online tests, shower, ect.
I buy disposable diapers.
Yes, I know they're expensive,
but it's my choice right?
I don't curl her hair when I put it in a pony,

she has barely enough hair to put in a little pony on top of her head
and I don't think she'd sit still enough just quite yet,
it's still cute though.
I warm up her bottles
because she likes them that way.
And let's face it,
I'm a stay-at-home-mommy
with one baby.

I have the time to warm up her bottles
and I
love to.
She gets rocked to sleep every night,
It'll change soon enough.
So what if she's a little spoile
d?

Anyway,
next time,

Keep it to yourself.

oh no, did somebody say something? ARGGG i hate those who think they know so much more and think they know my child better then me!!! please don't tell me it was in the grocery store...because that urks me more then anything! I have had to bite my own tongue to rude people more then my fair share!

p.s. and the whole time i was reading your post and writing this comment i was hoping it wasn't me...i don't think it was though! Or at least hope not!

When you guys get healthy get your buns over here and snuggle my little man!!! (i saw on facebook you weren't feeling well)

thanks everybody! Tiff- of course it wasn't you..these women who make comments are always 50+. I think young mommies or sane, kind, understanding 50+ women keep it to themselves. haha. You're great!

HA HA HA SO FUNNY Ash! I hate that too! I think that people just forget what it is like to be a new mom an so they say rude things when they should just keep it to themselves. OH I want to know what happened now!
Your a great mom so don't listen to any freakazoid old farts!

Trust me, whoever said this wasn't trying to be a mom, wife, homemaker AND going to school all while her husband is doing all sorts of crazy school/work schedule things. It's just like my dad has always said, "Everybody raises them differently and the one thing that is the unifying factor is love." Little baby Averie (spelling?) knows that you adore her and that she is well taken care of. Isn't that the most important thing! Don't listen to those old crags. They don't understand some of the demands of today. You are a fabulous mom. I've seen, Scott has seen it and I know you have seen yourself stretch in new fabulous ways. You are doing great!

Being Mom is the hardest thing you ever do. And no one can tell you how to do what is right for your kid. Just ignore people who tell you want to do. And remember that Heavenly Father sent this sweet baby to you. You are inspired to know what is right for your baby. Tell everyone to take a flying leap and enjoy this moment.
PS I still remember Dallin puking ALL.OVER.YOU the first time you held him. It was so gross.
