the balls as hard as she can.
Avery's favorite part is putting
the coins in the slots and listening to the music.
Update:
We're surviving the heat, it's actually getting a lot better,
we could do without the crazy thunder/lightening storms that wake
all of us up in the middle of the night, but other then that we
really like our home, and we're getting to know Omaha.
We have really nice neighbors with little kiddos.
There are tons of swing sets in our little community
that Avery is obsessed with, so we go there a lot.
We need to invest in some bug spray because we get eaten alive
every time we're outside in the evening.
I'm getting used to the loud bugs, sometimes I forget they're there.
Scott's at school from about 8:00 am to 5:30 pm,
so Avery and I have lots of time to read books and play in our family room downstairs.
She's 23 months old, I can't believe my baby will be 2 next month!
She's starting to realize there is a baby in my belly, she'll say
"Baby, tummy" and kiss my belly.
And I make her rub lotion on it.
Avery's vocab is really starting to pick up,
she's learning her ABC's and sings
"ABC K LOP WXYZ, now I know ABC's....."
Every time we drive by signs with big letters she'll point and say
"ABC's!!!" Or if she doesn't want to see them she'll say
"No, ABC's".
She likes to make funny noises and say
"Avery funny"
Or if Scott or I do something funny she'll say
"Daddy funny, Mommy funny"
She loves turning off and on the lights, since she can reach most of the switches
now.
She asks to go potty and points to the bathroom door, so we've put her on the toilet,
but she hasn't gone yet, she just wants to wipe after a while and then flush
the toilet and wash her hands.
When I call her name she'll say,
"YEAH?" and it makes her sound like a 5 year old.
She's supers scared of the dark.
She loves jumping on our bed and couches, she'll put cushions on the
floor and jump on them and scream
"JUMP!"
She can be quite the broken record and repeat the same word over
and over, usually "Please" when she wants something.
She says, "Happened?" if something breaks
or if there's a loud noise.
I'm so ready to have both of my babies here.
I think Avery will do really good with the new baby, she's
loved babies and little kids forever, so I think she'll
enjoy having him around most of the time.
Guess we'll find out in 9 1/2 weeks!!!!!
